Impact measurement support

Measuring your charity's impact isn’t just important - it’s powerful. It allows you to make smarter decisions, share more compelling stories, and clearly show the value of your work. But with limited time, rapid growth or juggling multiple funder demands, impact measurement can feel overwhelming. It doesn’t have to be.I help charities like yours take control of measuring impact in a way that’s practical, effective, and tailored to your needs.I can support you to:Clarify your outcomes
Together, we’ll build a clear understanding of the challenges you address, the change you aim to create, and how you achieve it—engaging your team, volunteers, and the people you serve in the process.
Measure what matters
I’ll help you focus on what’s most important, develop an impact measurement framework, and create simple, robust tools to collect and use the data that drives your success.
Drive improvement
I’ll support you in building a culture of learning, where staff have the confidence and skills to use data for ongoing improvement and make your impact even bigger.
Better impact measurement leads to stronger evidence - and bigger impact.

Shared Impact Measurement

Big social challenges need more than one organisation to solve them. When organisations work together on similar issues, they need a common way to measure their collective impact. That’s where shared measurement comes in.Shared measurement brings together organisations working on similar issues, aligning their goals and agreeing on what and how to measure impact. This approach creates consistency and clarity across the board.Once in place, shared measurement can:• generate more consistent, comparable data to build a clearer picture of what works and the collective impact of organisations
• save time and resources by pooling expertise, sharing costs, and avoiding duplication of effort.
• support smaller organisations with their first steps into impact measurement, providing guidance and structure.
• reduce duplication in reporting, as grantees use the same approach, making reporting to funders easier.
Going through this process together also brings many benefits. Organisations can learn from each other, strengthen their relationships, and improve how they collaborate more effectively to drive social change.I specialise in supporting groups of charities to:Build consensus
Find common ground through conversations and workshops, establishing shared outcomes that are meaningful to all involved.
Measure
Develop a robust, shared framework with clear objectives and practical data collection tools that work for all organisations.
Embed
Provide tailored support to help each organisation integrate shared measurement approaches into their own work in ways that work for them.
Shared measurement leads to stronger collaboration - and bigger impact.

Funder and partner support

Maximising the impact of funding requires more than just good intentions. As a funder, you're committed to driving meaningful change and ensuring your investments go as far as possible. To do this, you need clear insights into how your money has been spent, the impact it’s had, and what lessons have been learnedBut that's not always straightforward. Many charities don't have the budget, knowledge or confidence to design meaningful impact measurement that meets both your needs and theirs. This often results in insufficient or inconsistent impact data, making it harder for you to gain insights and harder for charities to use the data to inform and improve their own work.. This can lead to missed opportunities and underutilised resources.I provide tailored support to help you and your grantees measure impact in ways that are purposeful, practical and proportionate.Build organisational capacity
I help charities use funded projects as a springboard to develop a broader approach to impact measurement. Together, we improve their knowledge, build confidence, and embed a culture of data-driven decision-making that benefits the charity long-term.
Design pilot evaluations
I offer hands-on support to design and deliver small, focused evaluations that provide actionable insights. This helps both charities and funders understand what’s working and where improvements can be made.
Set the foundations for success
For charities just starting out, I train and guide them through the essentials - defining challenges, outcomes, and measurement strategies - and help set up simple, effective monitoring and measurement systems.
Better impact measurement leads to smarter funding decisions - and bigger impact.
